Since both of you own these properties, legally both of you will have to agree to an extension of any lease, or for that matter to a new lease on the rental properties. It may be that your husband wants to sell the properties to get his equity out rather than tie them up with another long team lease. If you have the ability to do so, you need to try and work out a deal with your husband to buy out his interest in the properties. I hope you have an experienced family attorney representing you in this matter; if not, you need to retain one immediately. Under the circumstances, since you are apparently already in a divorce proceeding, you may have a basis for filing a court petition allowing you to act on behalf of your husband in terms of managing the properties while the divorce is pending.
