Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Maryland

we made contract ourselves based on info we found on net. We signed a rent to own on a house we now live in. I have had to repair many things since moving in. Can I break contract based on that and still keep money?

Thanks for your post. Unfortunately an online post cannot really answer your question -- an attorney realistically must look at the language of what you signed and discuss the specific details to answer your question.

Your options also depend on whether your "rent-to-own" situation was a lease type of arrangement with option to buy or a land installment contract. Because real estate transactions can be complex, I encourage you to schedule a consultation with a real estate attorney who can look over your contract and offer specific advice before you take action.
