Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Maryland

I have a mortgage loan in my name and the Deed to the house is in my husband and my name? I moved out, he does not want to sell? He has not been making the payments- What can I do????

If you are contemplating pursuing a divorce, consult with a family law attorney regarding your options. If there is any equity in the property, you will lose that if the property goes into foreclosure, and your husband will be forced out anyway. Of course, that would also have a detrimental effect on your credit. So if you want to keep the house and are willing to buy your husband's equity, he would be foolish to reject such an offer, even though he would have to find a new place to live.
