Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Maryland

Roof damages

We live in a condo (townhouse).

Issue: Animals keep coming into our attic through the roof. One animal put a hole in the ceiling. We contacted the property manager about the problem. It has been three weeks and she has not contacted us back. We sent an e-mail to have documentation that we made a complaint.

We went to investigate were the animal was coming in thinking we could block it because the animal makes a lot of noise during the night.

Well now the ceiling in the bedroom is damage because while investigating a family member fell through the ceiling. Now there is a bigger hole in the ceiling.

We always pay the associates fees (for 20 some years) on time.

Can we asked for the association to pay for the damages?

Re: Roof damages

Find out who insures the common areas of the development and try to file a claim. Maybe you'll get quicker action that way.
