unauthorized e-mail
An ex-boyfriend recently accessed my e-mail account without authorization. Two years prior to the incident and breakup, I had told him my password and did not think to change it after the breakup. I had also previously successfully issued a restraining order against him (which he surprisingly did not violate), but it has since expired in the last six months. Is there any chance there are legal ramifications for this kind of invasion of privacy? We also currently live in different states, so I'm not sure how this kind of thing works in regards to crossing state lines.

The easiest thing is to change your password. While there are laws about this, unless he has accessed other private information such as bank account passwords, I would let it be.
If you are worried about Identity theft, switch to new credit card numbers, change your passwords on accounts, etc. This is easier than going to court after he does something.
