I have a judgement againest me from a collector. I was making the $50.00 a month payments til my truck went & had to buy another one. I just can't afford to pay this amount. What should I do? Can i go to the court house & file an amendment to have the court lower my payment? Thanks john

You can start by calling up the judgment creditor to see if they will accept a lower monthly payment. If you signed an agreement for judgment or were otherwise ordered to pay a certain amount each month, then you should call the clerk and schedule some kind of a payment review hearing.
