Legal Question in Criminal Law in Massachusetts

So i got caught shoplifting at tj maxx one time. I had been to the store many times and stolen a few things. They had proof of it once brought me to court, but they brought me to the wrong court so the case seems like it has been dropped because they have not taken me to the junior court and it has been many months. I know there is a statute of limitations on things like that so they can still charge me. Is it possible that they are gathering information from previous times are and preparing to bring me to court and charge me with heavy fines? I also returned to the store to buy other items but everyone was watching me. Can they tell who i am through the cameras? Are the cameras from other times enough to prove that it was me? I don't know how detailed their cameras are and i dont want them to mistake other people for me to add to their case. I have stopped shoplifting because it makes me feel very guilty, but i feel like they are still condemning me, within reason, undoubtedly.

It is highly likely that the store is not pursuing the complaint against you since the other court dismissed the complaint. It only takes about 4 weeks for the complaint to issue so if you haven't received paperwork by now then most likely they are not pursuing.

As for the staff following you. Try to stay out of that store. The staff receive photos of those that were caught at one time so they may remember you. I dont believe TJ Maxx has facial profiling, you just may fit the profile of some of their recent shop lifters.
