Thank you for your service.

Parties can obtain a divorce in Massachusetts simply by pleading with the Court that there has been a breakdown of the marriage. This is referred to as no-fault divorce, and is available as a 'ground' for divorce in both contested and uncontested divorces.

Courts will not grant an annulment quite as easily. In order to obtain an annulment, you will need to present evidence which would persuade the Court that your marriage was void for some reason, like fraud, etc.

You should speak to an attorney - I welcome you to contact our office - to discuss whether you have the option of filing suit here in Massachusetts, or whether you will need to file in another state altogether. Good luck.
