Legal Question in Family Law in Massachusetts

After filing for divorce, my ex-husband failed to pay our mortgage for two months while we were in the process of selling our home. Now I have two 30-day late mortgage payments on my credit history, and I am unable to get a loan to buy my own home. Is there any recourse when a then-spouse knowingly negatively affects one's credit during a divorce?

I think you will need an attorney.

It may be possible to obtain orders during the pending divorce to resolve this. You shouldn't really be selling your home in the middle of a divorce without court and or attorney supervision.

There are many moving parts in a divorce, and I invite you to contact our office for assistance.
