in mass how old does a child have to be to choose what parent they want to live with

Hello,

In Massachusetts if a child is at least 14 years old, a judge can take the child's preference of whom they would like to live with under consideration. However it is ultimately up to the Judge to decide what the best interests of the child are. When a child reaches the age of 18, custody is no longer an issue.
