Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Massachusetts

If eviction proceedings occurred, but the matter was resolved by mutual agreement by tenant and landlord, then no eviction ever happened. Is that correct?

I think you could very easily argue either way. It would be safe to say that you were not evicted from your home, but it can be said that eviction proceedings were commenced against you. It would depend upon how one defined 'eviction'.
