Legal Question in Personal Injury in Massachusetts

i slipped and fell on an icy walkway at my apartment, i am currently disabled living as section 8, now i have a back injury due to my fall at my apartment due to non removal of snow and ice, my landlord states that i am responsible for snow removal, however when i moved in to this location i had a doctors note explaining my permanent disability, and the housing authority who got me this apartment knew of my disability and before my fall , someone always shoveled my walk..except for one stprm we had in which i fell, injuring my loer back, this walk was left unshoveled for four days after the storm., i am on social security disability income, and now i am going to have expensive bills due to this as well as injury to my lower back, i need help.
