Legal Question in Traffic Law in Massachusetts

Criminal Citation for Lane Violation

I am an Indian, worked in Boston.I recived a Citation on 15th sep 2004 for lane violation (Lane Violation,Endagering Life). Th Cop told me i will be receiving a letter from the court as it was a criminal offence. I had to leave boston on the 5th of November and the court had sent me a letter on the 26th of december asking me to be in the court. My friends saw the letter in Feb 2005 after they came from their vacation. What should i do now? Please reply.

Re: Criminal Citation for Lane Violation

There is most likely a warrant out for your arrest based upon you not appearing for court on this case. You will need to go into court to clear up the warrant. I would highly recommend going to court with an attorney--you do not want the court to have a bail hearing on you without an attorney present. If you would like to talk with me further--you can reach me at 617-835-8733. Martha Kovner
