Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Massachusetts

will

Back in 1996 my mother passed away in which she spent alot of time at our home after retirement in which she stated her wishes to me and my wife many times. She gave the administrative to her sister who was to carry out her wishes. Her sister did not carry out her wishes and instead used a large portion of the money to put down on her new home and did not deduct the $9,000 that my brother borrowed against his inheritace which was approximately a total of $64,000. I received $6,000 from my mothers inheritance. Never seen a will but was told my mother the amount she had and how she wanted the money to be distributed among the children. Where would I find a copy of her will since I never saw it and What is the statute of limitation to contest in Massachusetts? Thank you and I would appreciate an answer!

Re: will

You or your attoney can search the records of the Probate Court for the County in which your mother last resided.

If nothing is recorded there under her name, you or your attorney should request your sister produce a copy of any will left by your Mother and/or an inventory and accounting by your sister of her administration of your Mother's Estate.

Good Luck!
