Legal Question in Appeals and Writs in Michigan

Mis trials

What reasons would constitute a mistrial? Please give some examples. This would be on a crimal sex offense case and would knowing a person on the jury constitute as one?

Re: Mis trials

Numerous events may contribute to a mistrial. Certainly, the bias of a juror is one of them. The most common example is jury deadlock. Other events such as prosecutorial misconduct and withholding evidence may result in a reversal of the conviction. You are welcome to call me to further discuss the case.
