Legal Question in Technology Law in Michigan

Computer Harassment

Recently, a manager of mine sent me several rude, demeaning, and plain harassing messages while he was at work. I was at home at the time I received them.

I know in Michigan, there are a few laws regarding computer harassment, however, how would this be handled?

What actions can I take?

Is this something to talk to the store owner about, or is it a private/civil matter?

Any suggestions/recommendations would be great.

Any time a manager and someone they manage have an issue, employment law is involved. You may also have a civil claim(s), but you can complaint to your HR rep or your boss' boss. Just make sure you have another job offer in case it doesn't go well.
