Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Michigan

My son, age 40, is the single father of 3 children, 10,4, and 2. He is receiving SSI,very bad back. However, he has dyslexia (cannot read) and a very low IQ. His credit report is a disaster, was told to sign here and he did. Had no idea what he was signing, interest rates etc. His credit report also includes his exwife's credit cards. We are trying to get him a house under the HUD program, but credit report is too bad. Any help anywhere with this situation?

I would be glad to help you for a $175.00 fee. What you need to do is write letters to the creditors disputing the debt. You also need to write to the credit reporting agencies (there are three major) and dispute the negative report and add a statement to the report while the dispute is being investigated. A letter from an attorney should cure the ex-wife's credit card issue. If your son did not cosign on those loans, they should not be showing up on his credit report. it does take some time to clean up a credit report but it is worth it. If you want me to help, I would need for you and your son to make contact with me as he would be the client and I would need to know he wants my help. I can be reached at [email protected].
