Legal Question in Criminal Law in Michigan

Stolen goods seizure

I purchased goods not knowing they were stolen. The police now want to confinscate them back due to someone saying they know I bought it, and have threatened a warrant to search. If I ask them what was said about me and who said it do they have to tell me? If I refuse to give the goods back with out proof they are stolen (i.e. serial numbers from victim) can they still take it? What restitution can I get for buying the goods not knowing they were stolen?
