Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

I am not the custodial parent of my daughter. We live in different states. I am supposed to be able to see my daughter once a month. The ex will not let me see her. Do I have the right to go to that state and have the sheriff come with me to my daughter place of residences so that I am ablt to see her? Or do I have to go back to court?
