Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

Force a DNA Paternity Test

My b/f has an ex g/f that got pregnant and had a baby almost 2 yrs ago now. SHe told him that she was pregnant with another guys baby, had an abortion, and two weeks later was pregnant with his baby. He said he didn't believe her because the timing wasn't right and her friends told him she was lying. But she insisted the baby was his and he was around when the baby was born in 06- so he signed the papers at the hospital and gave the baby his name. They broke up 2 weeks after the baby was born and he hasn't tried to be a dad to it. Looks nothing like him and the ex's b/f admits the baby is his. My b/f has a lot of money and the g/f has told several people she wants his money and won't have a DNA test. Can the court FORCE her to have a DNA test? My b/f said she would rather pay court fines and go to jail for a few days rather than admit she is lying. Of course, she won't get any child support then, but she is still spreading it around that the baby is his. I just want to know if the court can really let her get away with this or if they can MAKE her do a DNA test?

Re: Force a DNA Paternity Test

Yes, your boyfriend can force her child to take a DNA test. The absolute worst thing for your boyfriend to do is nothing.

In what city does she live?
