Legal Question in Family Law in Michigan

vistation rights for unmarried father

me and the mother of my child have been seperated fo 4 yrs. now and and have a 9 yr. old daughter. she used my child as a tool to hurt me many times. but has never consecutively kept me and my daughter away each other for this long. i know she loves our daughter very much, but is holding on to alot of anger she has for me. and in the process depriving our child of her father. she is very lost! and now she has kept our child from me for 3 months. i have called everyday, and im lucky if she answers. i have paid child support from the day we seperated till 3 months ago she wont even come around me to get the 3 months of child support that i want to give her. am i obligated to pay her for those 3 months she has alienated our daughter from me? (i have reciepts from every transaction of support) please help me. i am also very lost about everything. ive never walked in these shoes before! can she legally do what she is doing? im so worried about our daughter i have no history of anything illegal,(jail, drug use, physical abuse, nothing!) just two people who did not get along! what can i do to save my child? what rights do i have? i have little to no money! please give me any and every piece of advice you can. thank you..

This is too complex for you to try to practice law on your own. You need a court order for visitation. Get a second job, borrow money or do whatever you need to do to hire a lawyer. You might be able to qualify for Legal Aid if you phone them. The longer you go without seeing your daughter, the more you and the child will be hurt. Don't wait! Take action NOW!
