I work for a very large group of stores. A few weeks back i was in the shopping center got a few things a paid with a check,and the check bounced. My boss asked me when i would be able to pay this. I tolled him in two weeks when i got paid. in a few days i get a letter in the mail about the check. I called them and tolled them when i get paid they would get paid.I went in to work and my boss tolled me if i did not have this paid in 24 hours they were going to have to let me go. Can they do this?

Yes. Your employer can not only "can" you, he can have you prosecuted if you wrote the check on one of his stores. I'd make the check good as quickly as possible if I were you.
