Legal Question in Personal Injury in Michigan

Injury from dog bite

My husband was attacked by a dog in his psychiatrist's office two months ago during a therapy session for anxiety. Despite immediate medical treatment for multiple bite wounds, a bone infection resulted in his thumb and surgery was necessary in an attempt to avoid amputation. He is still under medical treatment and amputation has not been ruled out yet. The psychiatrist has agreed to pay for our out-of-pocket expenses only. Do we need a lawyer?

Re: Injury from dog bite

The owner of the dog will be structly liable, not only for medical bills, but for the pain, etc. The psychiatrist may be liable but only if he is negligent. William S. Stern
