biological father

i have never met my biological father but if he had money or an estate would i be entitled to any claims upon his passing. his mname is on my birth certificate

Yes, unless he terminated his parental rights. His name on your BC only means he acknowledged he was your father when you were born - or that your mother put him on there and he never disputed it to have it changed.

However, he could have subsequently terminated his rights, and for sure would have if you were adopted by somebody else (because you can't have two fathers).
