Legal Question in Family Law in Minnesota

My boyfriend has 2 previous children w/another woman. Se has sole custody of the children and he is allowed visitation/joint legal custody per court papers. She once resided in Minneapolis, MN but has relocated to Bemidji, MN, which is a few hours north. Currently he has just found out the she still resides in Bemidji, MN but the kids were flown to Dothan, AL. Is there anything that my boyfriend can do to get his children back here and reside w/him or to where the mother has to have the children in MN?

The answer to your question is not a simple one and would depend on the father's past relationship withth e children. Certainly, he may file a Motion for a modification of custody. the result, however, may depend on the facts of the case.
