CHIP's case

I am wondering what a CHIP's case is and the definition of it. My social worker wants to file a CHIP's case against me. Any info please would be helpful. Thank you.

It is an action for a Child in need of Help or Protection (CHPS). Such an action is filed if the county believes that child is bening abused or neglected.
