Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Mississippi

Ownership

In 1972 we signed leases with getty oil to give them permission to drill on our land. We have copies of the

lease, but the state of mississippi is saying we were not

the owner of the land. We have deed, leases and title to

show this propety is our. Does the leases prove that we owned the property in question.
