A company is garnishing my wages for the original debt amount of $1384 instead of the remaining amount of $580. What can I do?

There are several things you can do to prevent too much being deDucted. You can move to have the writ of execution quashed. You might be able to assert your status as head of household to reduce the percentage being deducted. But, unless you think they will get more than $580 in this first execution, you might wait to contest future wage garnishments.
