Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Missouri

I had my wages garnished after I was sued by a credit card company. The original suit was around 5900.00 My employer continues to garnish my wages. The amount that the courts have received from my employer are alot less than what has been taken out. I have had nearly 6900,00 taken out of my check. What should or can I do to fix this?

You did nit say how you determined there us a discrepancy. Ask your employer for an accounting of what has been withheld for the garnishment. You can find out how much the Court has received. If there is a difference, it will show up there. Don't use what the creditor says you c still owe, to determine how much the Court has received. The amount a debtor owes his up with interest, attorney fees, court costs, and other things.

If it turns out that the employer has deducted more than they have paid on the garnishment, you can demand they pay it to you.

Good luck
