Legal Question in Criminal Law in Missouri

assault

I have been charged with assault and disorderly conduct. I plead not guilty because I did not comit the crime. I forgot about my court date which is tonight, and I dont have a lawyer. What do i need to do?

You will most likely need to hire an attorney to help you dispose of this. If it is too late to hire an attorney for tonight or you do not yet have enough money to hire one, I would suggest that you ask the judge for a continuance. The judge will usually give a defendant one continuance. Please let me know if you would like to discuss further.
