I had no idea it was not his stuff." If this person put you in this postion (especially if they know you got arrested) they are nto a good friend. You have no duty to take the rap for them. But, if there were objective things that might have clued a reasoanble person to question whther the stuff belonged to the other person, you could still be criminally liable. If you tell the Police, that you do nto think you did anytthing wrong, but choose nor to talk to them until you dicuss it with an attorney, they should back off for a while. then talk with an atotney aobut the specific facts of your case.
