Legal Question in Family Law in Missouri

Child support reduction

I have 2 children and am currently paying $900 per month for both kids. My 18 year old son had moved in with me. Am I eligible for a reduction in my child suppoet payments? I have been divorced for 7 years and child support has been deducted by the State every week, so I have never missed a payment or been late.

Re: Child support reduction

Assuming that your ex was awarded custody of both children in a Dissolution of Marriage Judgment, or that the children's mother was awarded custody of the children in a Judgment Determining Paternity, then you need to file a Motion to either terminate the child support obligation for the one or modify the child support obligation for the son depending upon facts not included in your question. You need to consult with an attornery. If you do not alreaady have an attorney, I would be happy to speak with you. Please feel free to call me.
