emancipating a minor

I have a seventeen year old,who is working full time is supposed to live with her mother,that I pay support on and she is only going to school one day a week to say she is still enrolled.what is the process to get her emancipated

Re: emancipating a minor

The child is not emancipated until she reaches the age of 18 if she is still residing with her mother. After 18 if she is enrolled but not attending school you can file a Motion to Terminate the child support obligation. You could also do this if she was not living with her mother. Perhaps you should consult with an attorney in your area.
