Legal Question in Family Law in Missouri

reversal of alimony

My husband is paying alimony to his ex to whom he gave everything. She has always worked throughout their marriage and makes more money than us combined. Circumstances have changed since they divorced and she is going against a clause in the decree concerning his wages. I have looked up qualifications for alimony and he did not meet them and I cannot believe the judge ruled in favor of this. Their children were also in their 20's when they divorced. His paycheck is now $122.00. We need a lawyer who will fight for us and also have her to pay the legal fees. He has been paying for 7 years and she is also do this for vengeance.

Re: reversal of alimony

I would need to see the existing court order to determine whether the maintenance order was modifiable. If so, then it would appaear that your husband can filea Motion to Modify. If you do not already have an attorney, you may call me for a free telephone consultation.
