Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Missouri

What can happen if your sued by an attorney ?

What can happen to an individual if they get sued by an attorney and there wasn't a verbal or written contract with them. Also what if the person being sued doesn't work? Can they come to my home and take my stuff?

Much of your question depends on what you are being sued for. Without additional information, its hard to help you. Generally, if a suit is successful, an attorney can garnish wages and bank accounts as well as execute writs of execution to seize personal property that the sheriff can sell at auction.

You probably need to talk to an attorney if you are worried about this.
