Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Missouri

Real Estate Gift

Looking for similar case for reference. Received 1/4 Real Estate Gift in 1975. In-laws built store on property. They sold property in 2006 without my signature on deed. Want to give me small amount of money for me to sign over my part. I want 1/4 of 2006 building and land price not 1/4 of 1975 land only price. Is there any case like this out there that would be similar? How did the judge determine the case?

Re: Real Estate Gift

Generally speaking, a landowner shares in the value of any improvements to the land; it is complicated, though, and there are lots of exceptions. So you may have a case. Contact me and I'd be glad to hear more details and help you figure out what your options are.
