Legal Question in Immigration Law in Missouri

citizenship application has been pending for over two years

I am a permanent resident of U.S. since 1997. Am married to a U.S. born citizen and have U.S. born children. I applied to be naturalized in 2004. My application was recommended for approval at the interview by adjudicating officer, but to this date, my case has been pending with the status of ''under supervisory review''. I have no criminal background/no affliations to any organization/entered U.S. legally/always in good legal standing. Why is it being stalled for two years and what can I do to get them make a decision ? I have tried writing to my US senators, wrote to District Director of the region, wrote to the officer who interviewed me and paid countless visits to the local office. None has helped so far. What else can I do?

You can (and should) consult an immigration attorney and file a mandamus petition in the district court having jurisdiction over your matter. Under immigration laws, if more than 120 days have passed since your interview without a response from the USCIS, you should file a complaint in the district court to compel the Government to adjudicate your application.

Hope this information is helpful.

Well, you do need a serious help. In order to expedite your pending N-400 case, you have two options:

1) Go to your Senator or Congressman and seek their help in resolving this matter

or

2) Hire us to represent you so that we can get to the bottom of this barrel. Have a nice day.

You can file a writ of mandamus compelling them to take action on your case.
