Legal Question in Personal Injury in Missouri

two suits

Is it possible to have a civil & a criminal suit in progress at the same time? Each suit has a different plaintiff. Also, if the case is officially reopened, does that put the suits on hold?

Short answer: Yes, both can progress at the same time. There may be strategic advantages to getting to trial before the criminal trial takes place or after, just depending on the case.
