Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Missouri

was sued for failure to pay homeowners association dues

Paid the full demand, but the attorney filed a dismissal without prejudice and I just received another bill from the management company indicating I still owe them money. Can they do this?

Re: was sued for failure to pay homeowners association dues

To determine if the HOA can still pursue you for delinquent dues, it would require more information. It appears that they cannot successfully litigate for dues that were owed as part of the demand. But, they may be able to pursue yoru for dues that came due after the demand letter was sent.

You should consult directly with an attorne in yrou area. They may resolve your dilemna during a free intiial consultation.

Good Luck
