Re: affidavit small estate

Some states use affidavits of small estate, to transfer prperty too late for a testamentary estate to be opened. The traditiional method in Missouri is to do a Petition to determine heirship. That could work, or you could go with the method used in the state where the property is.

If this is more than a couple hundred dollars wotrh of stock, you should retain an attorney to handle this transfer for you.

Good luck
