Legal Question in Workers Comp in Missouri

husband injured while hauling materials for his boss. He was using his personal vehicle & bosses trailer. load shifted threw him in a ditch. Fractured his shoulder, totaled his truck, damaged bosses trailer. using workmens comp. Using our personal insurance for vehicle/trailer. We would like help from boss (who happens to be a personal friend/neighbor) when we get another vehicle. He feels that he is not responsible for anything legally. But morally he will pay for our deductable. All that we asked him for was to pay for our deductable ($500) & the sales tax, license on whatever we purchase. I want to know if there is any type of legal recourse on this. I am very upset w/ his answer & insulted. We have not received a check yet from our insurance company.

He has a right to Workers' compensation, meaning medical, time off and a lump sum for resultant disability. The truck is a stickier situation, but certainly sounds like the boss is responsible.

I am happy to discuss it with you again, just call my office!

Best wishes.
