Legal Question in Criminal Law in Nebraska

Public Defense Changes 3 Times

My kids have been in jail since the day after thanksgiving. They did not see a judge for 7 days. My oldest son was assigned defense in the public defenders office. He has never had a meeting with the lawyers, has had his case handed off three times, and no case details have been shared. Is this legal? He is in Nebraska and I am in Kansas.

What county is he in jail and what are the charges? By law a person can be held only 48 hours before going up for a first bond review, but few know how to enforce that or have an attorney to help them do so. Have you attempted to secure a lawyer for him? He is allowed to have his bond reviewed every 24 hours.
