runaway teen

my daughter has a 15 yr old friend who ran away from home because his dad was abusing him, he came to my home and i called dad to tell him he was at my house. dad gave permission for his son to saty at my home last thursday, and dad just had him removed from school today with the police. what can i do to help this boy

The best thing for you to do is call Child Protective Services and tell them what you know. They will investigate. If you want the boy to stay with your family, you can volunteer to be a respite foster home for him should he be placed in HHS custody. It's not a guarantee, but HHS will give you serious consideration for placement if you request it.
