willing money to a pet

I was interested to know what happens to the money that is willed to a pet after the pet dies.

It depends on the terms of the will or trust providing for the pet as a beneficiary. Many include provisions to distribute the remainder to a charity, sometimes a subsequent beneficiary is named.
