Re: modified sentence

A modified sentence is a petition to the Court to change the terms and conditions of a criminal sentencing. It could include reducing a prison term, changing terms of probation, or other elements.

Typically, the defendant must be able to exhibit some change in behavior, lifestyle, etc. that would warrant such a modification.

If you would like to speak to an attorney regarding such a potential motion, contact my office to schedule an appointment.

Re: modified sentence

A motion to modify the sentence has to be done with good cause and the Judge must have authority to modify the sentence.
