Abuse and emancipation

ok. so my friend asked me to help her figure this out. Her mom is very abusive and controlling. she wants to be taken out of her home, and her friends mom wants to take her in and adpot her, problem is that mom lives in Utah... She is 16 and scared. Her mom will not allow her to have a job or a car, let alone live away from home. How could she pull this off without making it worse at home if she lost the court case?

If she loses the emancipation case then she can run away.
