Legal Question in Family Law in Nevada

Termination of Divorce Attorney

I hired an attorney to handle my dicorce She filed my complaint for divorce so she is the attorney of record. We have not filed the stipulated decree of divorce. I have terminated her services due to several errors and untimely responses which caused an easy divorce to become difficult. Do I have to refile since she is no longer representing me?

Re: Termination of Divorce Attorney

Thank you for your inquiry.

It is not necessary for you to re-file a complaint in a divorce action merely because you fired your attorney. If you have yet to resolve your dispute I would recommend you retain another attorney. My office handles all family and domestic law matters.

If you would desire to set up a free consultation with my office contact us at your convenience.
