us citizenship
I have been married for 11 years and started the process of my husbands citizenship 5 years ago he has become a resident but not a full citizen, for the last two years we have been separated and now i am working on my divorce and i would like to stop the process of him becoming a citizen due to our marriage. What do I need to do?
Re: us citizenship
Nothing. Your husband has the right to become a citizen even if you do not want it to happen. Your marriage was a bona-fide long-lasting marriage, and your husband became a permanent resident based on that marriage. Now he does not need to be married in order to apply for citizenship. He can still apply even if you are divorced.
