Late fees & penalties

I was charged exccessive late fees and penalties on my mortgage loan, how can I get the Lender to pay me back those cahrges?

Good luck. Lenders are very tough to get money back from. Your best bet is to develop a case as to why they shouldn't have charged you the fees.

Really depends on the details, the kind/amount of evidence you have that you shouldn't have been charged the fees, and what you mean by excessive. If you broke your agreement with them and they charged you what they said they were going to charge you then you probably can't get those back. Any other situation and you may have a shot.

Sue in small claims. You will have to prove tot he judge that the charges were excessive and not justified under the terms of the note. If the total exceeds small claims jurisdiction, you'll have to take it to the Superior Court.
