false advertising

purchased a car listed as runs and drives $12000.00 later it runs but major new problems revealed dealer's claims were false the two major computers were taken.he refuses any help at all claiming it was sold as is. help

This can only be very hard for you. I guuess that is why 'used car salesman' is a term of derision and contempt.

This problem is controlled by laws passed by the legislature and your answers are in General Business Law 738 and 98. These laws require the dealer to give a limited warranty and an option to return the vehicle for the full price unless the car over 100,000 miles. Second, when you say 'car runs' was advertised, did you take it for a test drive'? Did it run?
